ADS Clippy Security System
The Way It Works
The ADS Clippy™ Security System (KC216) is installed on your computer. Each Clippy is assigned to an individual user. Each user registers their Clippy on the Clippy™ Security System. When the computer is turned on, only a preauthorized Clippy, inserted into the USB port enables the user to access the computer. Removing the Clippy renders the computer inoperable. The system is locked, the keyboard and mouse cease to function and the monitor is blanked out. When the Clippy™ Security System is installed on the target computer, the installation software seeks a predetermined set of data files (that you define) and encrypts these files. The encryption key is contained within the Clippy. If the Clippy is removed, the files of the protected computer are secured in the event the computer is stolen.
As an added benefit, the Clippy device also serves as an external flash memory drive with encrypted memory contained within the device. The Clippy comes standard in the 16MB memory size and is available in various memory sizes from 64MB to 4GB of encrypted memory. The device is readable on the computer as any removable media. Software and data may be copied to the Clippy. It stores the information in an encrypted form.
You may assign unlimited Clippy’s to a computer and a Clippy can be authorized for unlimited computers. The Clippy is best suited for portable computers and laptops and used in conjunction with the ADS encryption system provide te strongest protection of your data available.
